Spectroscopic facilities covering the broad range from FIR to VUV. Transmission, reflectance, scattering andluminescence techniques, mostly with a high spatial resolution provided by microscopic and tip-assisted techniques. Studies of (polarization-dependent) response of materials and nanosystems at optical frequencies, aiming at their vibrational and electronic structure.
