- Typical sample mass is about 10–20 mg
- Assessment under inert (nitrogen) or oxidation (air) atmosphere, atmosphere can be switched during measurement. It is also possible to connect other two gases
- Linear heating with rates from 0.1 to 500 °C/min, ballistic cooling with the speed 500 °C/min
