Dear Lab Users,

There is always something new in the lab.

Recently, a "decontamination mat" was installed at the entrance to cleanrooms in Building C.

For fast Inspection of Thin Films and Surfaces on your samples/wafers, there is a new Ellispometer called ACCURION-RSE in the Dry etching and deposition laboratory, right next to PECVD. If you need training, just ask the guarantor, Dr. Marek Eliáš.

Also, you might encounter an ongoing multilevel upgrade of our TITAN, which is going well, and we hope that our TEM will be fully upgraded and operational for you in September 2025. There are two planned installations: The installation of the Cs probe corrector for STEM and the installation of the new spectrometer and image filter for EELS, EFTEM, and 4D-STEM. We decided to send our Lesní Bar, which had been running for almost 10 years, to retirement and replaced it with the outsourced startup Get24 Mikromarket, where you can buy a variety of snacks and drinks and pay by payment card onsite. No account is needed.

The last thing, which is actually not new but is significant, is that you should forget about the paper lab books and keep all records in the electronic lab book for each reservation. It is mandatory for every equipment in the labs.
