Lab news - September 2022

Dear users,
We would like to provide you with a brief list of new equipment or upgrades in our laboratories that have been recently installed and might be of interest to you for your scientific work. This brief list or Lab news will be published once a month.

• CLASIC Tube Furnace (TUBE-FURNACE) - Guarantor: Filip Ligmajer, PhD.
  This furnace is placed in Service Lab C1.20.
• Optical microscope Zeiss Axio Imager A2 (ZEISS-A2 in C1.30) - scale calibration and SW upgrade with new features (more file exports, panoramic pictures) 

In chemical laboratory B1.14, there are several new equipments under the guarantee of Katerina Tmejova, PhD.

• Fridge for chemicals
• Sample blow gun installed in the right fume hood
• The extension of measurement possibilities by Argon on BET device (station S3) (BET_ANAMET)
• Installation of vacuum oven.

Chromatography laboratory B2.19  is part of the chemistry laboratory. The Gas Chromatograph (CLARUS-680) and the Gel Permeation Chromatograph (HPLC GPC/SEC) (DAWN-HELEOS) have been moved to the B2.19 laboratory and are fully available to all users, but only in full-service mode. The guarantor of the chromatographic equipment is Jana Brtníková, PhD.

• The installation of  Mass Spectrometer Clarus ® SQ 8 T to Gas Chromatograph (CLARUS-680).
